
Professional Experience
Kate Bower is a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) in Louisiana who offers in-person or telehealth sessions. She is practicing under the supervision of Jennifer Mire, LPC-S. Kate graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in May 2026 with her Master of Science in Counseling with a concentration in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. During her time in the program, she completed practicum and both internships with The Dragonfly Harbor, Inc. While she is no longer a student, she remains dedicated to learning and growing to provide competent, quality care.
Kate strives to stay in a trauma informed, client-centered state of mind to create a safe space where clients feel empowered to lead their mental health journey. With a psychodynamic approach, she works collaboratively with clients to explore how the present is influenced by the past and how to overcome the patterns that have been created. She finds her foundation in mindfulness, coping techniques, and resiliency.
